SpikeVest: Protective Dog Vest

The SpikeVest is designed to help slow an unexpected attack and give you more time to react. It combines puncture-resistant fabric, a Kevlar®-reinforced collar, removable spikes, and adjustable hook-and-loop closures for a secure fit.

Features

• Protective fabric: Tough ballistic material helps resist sharp teeth. A large collar reinforced with DuPont™ Kevlar® helps cover the throat.
• Removable spikes: Includes neck spikes and two back spike strips made of hard plastic.
• Reflective details: Help your dog stay visible in low light.
• Adjustable fit: Two wide hook-and-loop belts hold the vest snugly in place.
• Leash ready: Built-in D-ring for leash attachment.
• Water-repellent: Hand wash with mild detergent and air dry in the shade. Do not tumble dry.

Closure care: Keep hook-and-loop fasteners free of hair and dirt. They can wear over time and may be less secure than snap buckles if not properly maintained.

Choosing a size

Measure your dog while standing. Measure back length in a straight line from the front shoulder to the start of the tail, without following the curve of the back. Back length is the most important measurement; also check waist and neck measurements.

If between sizes, the original sizing guidance recommends the smaller size. Mini and X-Small vests have one row of collar spikes.
